Kangaroo’s new weatherproof security camera can go anywhere you need it

If you’re looking for security cameras to build your own security monitoring system, there’s a bewildering array of options on the market. Add one more option to that list, as Kangaroo has a new product, the $39.99 Indoor + Outdoor Cam.

This pint-sized camera can be put anywhere you need it, from indoors to outdoors and everywhere in between. IP65 weatherproofing means they can withstand the elements, so you can get on-demand livestreamed video at any time you need it.

Kangaroo has integrated the new Indoor + Outdoor Cam into its companion app, so you can see the camera feed from all your cameras and doorbells in one place. That also includes integration with Amazon’s Alexa and Google Assistant, recorded video alerts, and a built-in 85 decibel siren for deterring threats.

The camera also has color night vision, for clear images in low-light environments, and a host of other features that require either Kangaroo’s Cam Protect ($1.99 per month) or Complete Protect ($8.25 per month) plans, like two-way audio to your cameras and person and sound detection for things like alerts for loud, disruptive noises.

Opting for Complete Protect also includes up to $1000 of damage from theft, water, fire, or smoke per year, help getting your homeowner’s insurance discount for having a security system, and extended cloud storage.

You can buy the new Indoor + Outdoor Cam from Walmart or direct from Kangaroo, starting today. Amazon and HSN will also stock the new cameras later in the year.
