Does the iPhone 13 have a USB-C port?
The new iPad mini has USB-C, but what about the iPhone 13?
Quick Answer: No, the iPhone 13 does not offer USB-C support. The iPhone 13 and its four variations come with Apple’s standard Lightning port.
The iPhone 13 has been around since 2021, introducing exciting new changes to Apple’s flagship device. We’re talking the usual stuff: A better camera, battery life, and faster performance.
But iPhone fans have wondered if another potential change was coming to this version: Does it finally have a USB-C port for charging?
After revealing that the iPad mini supported USB-C, it looked like this could finally be the year.
Apple has been adamant about using the Lightning port for years now. But with USB-C becoming a more standard connection, many wondered if Apple was on board with making the USB-C change on the iPhone 13.
So, did they finally make the switch?
Does the iPhone 13 have a USB-C port?
Short answer: No
Sadly the iPhone 13 does not offer USB-C support. The iPhone 13 and its four variations come with Apple’s standard Lightning port.
2021 was the year many thought Apple would switch to USB-C for the iPhone.
Even though Apple opted to go for USB-C charging on some products, like the iPad mini, it doesn’t look like the company is quite ready to abandon the Lightning port on the iPhone.
But it does at least look like USB-C charging is on the company’s radar, so maybe the company will opt for that option in next year’s iPhone.
