The accident left nine people with minor injuries, including one hospitalized juvenile.

The incident occurred last month and is described in a California Highway Patrol traffic crash report. The report states that the driver claims their Tesla braked unexpectedly, leading to the pileup.

According to a review of videos by the California Highway Patrol, the Tesla was seen changing lanes and slowing to a stop before the incident.

The driver in the accident claims one thing, but the California Highway Patrol says they can’t confirm if “full self-driving” was active when it crashed.

According to the report, the Tesla traveled at around 55 mph before suddenly braking and slowing to about 20 mph.

This sudden change in speed reportedly caused a chain reaction collision involving eight vehicles traveling at typical highway speeds.

The timing of this pileup couldn’t have come at a worse time. The pileup occurred hours after Elon Musk announced that Tesla’s “full self-driving” software was available to anyone in North America who requested it.

Before this announcement, the driver-assist software had only been available to drivers with high safety scores on Tesla’s rating system.

The investigation into this 8-eight car pileup is still ongoing, and we’ll update if any updates are made available.

Until then, if you’re a Tesla owner with “full self-driving” capabilities, keep a vigilant eye. Tesla warns it “may do the wrong thing at the worst time.”

According to Downdetector, 6,842 people have reported an outage. That number first started rising at 11:19 AM ET. That number seems to stabilize, but reports continue to roll in on Twitter.

Reports show that feeds are not loading or users are getting kicked from their accounts.

At this point, it’s unclear what’s causing the outage and whether it’s an isolated event. One Twitter user notes, “Is my Instagram down or have I just been hacked?”

On the other hand, reports are dwindling, and whatever outage Instagram is experiencing seems to be subsiding. As of 11:30 AM, the number of reports has fallen to 449.

That’s typically a good sign and means services are slowly being restored.

At one point, Tom from MySpace (yes, that Tom) chimed in to respond to Musk’s poll, “Depends who you get to run it!” – possibly implying he’d be up for the job.

It’s possible that Musk’s poll was a way for him to gauge public opinion and potentially justify leaving Twitter to focus more on Tesla, the main source of his wealth.

In fact, he has sold a staggering $40 billion worth of Tesla stock over the past year.

Well, let’s hear it straight from the source. In a recent tweet, CEO Elon Musk clarified that all legacy verified checkmarks will be removed in the coming months.

Connection method 1: (AUX cable)

Except for a few of the latest models, all JBL speakers offer two connectivity options: Bluetooth and AUX.

The latter is the simplest way to pair JBL speakers to your computer or laptop.

How to connect a JBL speaker to PC without Bluetooth

All you need is a 3.5mm male-to-male AUX cable and these step-by-step instructions:

• If your JBL speaker is powered off, you’ll have to turn on the speaker by pressing the power button. You can verify it by checking the visibility of the blue light on the ‘Power button.‘
• Next, lift the slot cover on the back of your JBL speaker to reveal the AUX input, where you can plug in the 3.5mm audio cable or connect a micro-USB cable.

• Insert one end of the AUX cable into the 3.5mm audio jack on your JBL speaker.
• After that, you have to insert the other end of the 3.5mm cable into the audio output port of your computer or laptop.

You might have to change the output device on your computer or laptop to play audio through your JBL speaker.

If you are using Windows 10

Find the ‘Volume‘ icon at the bottom right of your screen and click on it.

Next, click the ‘Upward’ Arrow next to your default output. Then, a panel will appear with all the available audio outputs.

Lastly, find and set your JBL speaker as your preferred audio output. 

If you are using macOS, then follow the below steps:

• Click the Apple Menu, which you can find in the upper-left corner of the screen.
• From the Apple Menu, click on System Preferences.

• Now, within the System Preferences, go to the Sound Preferences.

• Find the Output Button at the top of the Sound preferences window. Click this button.

• In Output settings, you’ll see a list of connected and recognized audio devices. Select the device you wish to set (in our case, JBL speaker) by clicking its entry in the list.

• Go to the bottom-left corner of your screen and click the Start button. Alternatively, you can search ‘Bluetooth and other devices in the search box.
• Now, click the Settings icon in the Start Menu, and a ‘Windows Setting‘ Screen will appear.

• Click on ‘Devices’ and navigate to the ‘Bluetooth and other devices’ screen.
• Enable Bluetooth by toggling on the switch if it’s not already.

• Now, click ‘Add Bluetooth or Other Device‘ at the top of the screen. The Add a Device Screen will pop up instantly.

• From here, you will have to select ‘Bluetooth’ in the Add a Device screen. After a few seconds a list of ‘Discoverable Devices‘ will appear on the screen.

• From the list of available Bluetooth Devices, select your JBL speaker. The Bluetooth light will stop blinking on your JBL speaker, which indicates that your Bluetooth speaker is now paired with your PC or laptop.

On macOS

• Click the Apple icon on the upper-left corner of the screen to open the Apple Menu.
• Select the System Preferences within the Apple Menu, and select the Bluetooth icon.

• Within the Bluetooth window, you can see the list of Bluetooth-available devices. if you don’t see anything that means you have to turn on Bluetooth first.
• Click on the Connect Button next to your JBL speaker from the list.

• There you go; your JBL Bluetooth speaker is now paired to macOS.

What if my computer or laptop doesn’t have built-in Bluetooth?

If your computer or laptop doesn’t have built-in Bluetooth, you’ll have to purchase a Bluetooth adapter to plug into the computer’s USB port.

Once you have the adapter, simply turn on the Bluetooth feature on your computer or laptop and put your JBL speakers into pairing mode.

Then, on your computer or laptop, select the JBL speakers from the list of available Bluetooth devices and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Elon Musk has threatened to build his own smartphone if Apple and Google remove Twitter from their app stores.

This followed a series of tweets in which the Twitter CEO criticized Apple for threatening to withhold the microblogging site’s app from the App Store.

But now, after meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook at the company’s headquarters, Musk says that he was told by Cook that Apple “never considered” removing Twitter from its App Store.

“Good conversation,” Musk wrote in a tweet. “Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”

To be fair, Apple never publicly announced its decision to ban Twitter from the App Store.

Still, rumors suggested that Cupertino company could take action after Musk reinstated accounts previously banned by Twitter. Mainly former President Donald Trump.

Not only that, but Twitter suspended its policy against COVID misinformation, which could open the door to a flood of unmoderated content.

Apple and Google app store policies prevent hate speech, discrimination, and harassment on apps in their respective app store.

It’s unclear whether Musk managed to clear up other issues he mentioned in recent tweets.

He complained that Apple takes a 30 percent share of any app-related revenue generated by developers who earn more than $1 million through the App Store.

I’m guessing he didn’t. This was all a big stunt just to get users to log on to Twitter and read his tweets. Ultimately, Musk looks like the loser here. As Twitter user Security Dialogue wrote in a tweet:

From January 2020 to September 2022, Twitter suspended more than 11,000 accounts for spreading COVID misinformation. The company also deleted over 100,000 pieces of content that violated its policies.

Twitter did not formally announce the change. Instead, users noticed a note added to Twitter’s Transparency page that outlines its new COVID policy.

“Effective November 23, 2022, Twitter is no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy,” the page reads.

This isn’t the first time Musk expressed his disdain over COVID policies. In a 2020 Tesla earnings call, the CEO went off the rails and said COVID policies are “fascist.”

The new policy change is the most recent in a series of measures taken since Elon Musk took over as owner.

As mentioned earlier, the connection limit is two for models that support the ‘connect’ protocol. Whereas those with the latest protocols can connect to 100 speakers simultaneously.

JBL’s smartphone app allows you to set two or multiple connected JBL speakers to either ‘Stereo‘ or ‘Party‘ Mode.

However, only identical JBL speakers can give you Stereo sound. Any other configuration will result in a dual-mono sound.

No, the old JBL speakers with Connect+ technology cannot upgrade to ‘PartyBoost.’

With only one exception of the JBL Charge 3, the company has strictly isolated its communication protocols. 

So if your JBL speaker has hit its upgrade ceiling, all you can do is shell out some extra bucks for the latest device.

You can delink one or multiple JBL speakers from the rest in a multi-pairing scenario without any inconvenience.

You can either press the power button to turn it off or the connect button to unpair it.

However, before disconnecting, make sure you’re not disconnecting the primary speaker (the one connected to the audio source).

While ‘Connect+’ significantly improved over the original ‘Connect,’ PartyBoost has nothing to offer more than the connectivity range.

For now, Twitter Blue’s iOS update is more of a test than a finished product.

A Twitter product manager, Esther Crawford, confirmed this and tweeted that users “may see us making updates because we are testing and pushing changes in real-time.”

So far, 35 partners are on board. The list includes Paramount+, Showtime, AMC+, and more. In addition, the company says services like NBA League Pass and other channels are coming soon. 

After signing up, users can expect to see content from their streaming services right on the YouTube homepage, along with “curated trailers, behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews.”

YouTube adds, “recommendations will also include programs from Primetime Channels, delivering a personalized selection of content across YouTube.”

Another interesting feature, The Verge points out, is Primetime Channels content will work like any other YouTube video. Meaning viewers can like, dislike, and leave a comment on any video.

An early version of Primetime Channels is available now and can be accessed in the US from the Movies & TV hub.
